ABOUT THE BOOK:

Laura Cavalcante is a 21-year-old architecture student who shares an apartment with her friend Juliana in the center of Curitiba, Brazil. As the only single person in her friend group, her plans for the summer vacation include staying at home, painting, reading classic novels, and watching movies. However, everything changes when she hears a terrible prediction from a fortune teller.

According to the mysterious lady, the brother of Juliana’s boyfriend, Luca, whom Laura has known for three years, is destined to die for the girl he loves. Disturbed by this prediction, Laura seeks a crush to go with her to the “couples trip” planned by her friends to Bonito, Brazil, in an attempt to prevent Luca’s tragic fate.

What Laura doesn’t predict is that spending time with the couple will awaken confusing emotions within her and lead her to learn more about herself and her deepest desires.
